The YNDC Board of Directors approved the organization's new strategic plan at its November 17, 2025 meeting. The plan will guide the organization's growth and work over the next five years, covering the period from 2026 through 2030.

The Mahoning County Land Bank and YNDC have completed the construction of five more new homes in the City of Youngstown. The new homes are located in the Crandall Park, Upper West Side, and Idora neighborhoods. These projects build off ongoing work of the City of Youngstown, Mahoning County Land Bank, and YNDC in these neighborhoods that include: neighborhood action planning, demolition, code enforcement, property acquisition, home repair, housing counseling, vacant home rehabilitation, and street tree planting.

On November 20, 2025, the Youngstown Neighborhood Development Corporation was awarded two grants totaling $2.475 million from the Federal Home Loan Bank of Cincinnati's Affordable Housing Program.

YNDC, partners, and supporters celebrated the completion of three solar powered duplexes, totaling six units of housing, located at 3013, 3021, and 3031 Glenwood Avenue. Each unit has two bedrooms, two bathrooms, an open concept living, kitchen, and dining area, in-unit laundry, front porch, and two covered parking spaces.

YNDC worked with Councilman Jimmy Hughes to complete improvements at Mt. Hope Veterans Memorial Park Cemetery located at 1945 Liberty Road, Youngstown, Ohio 44505. Mt. Hope is the final resting place for many veterans, as well as residents of the Sharon Line and East Side.

YNDC is seeking candidates for a TreeCorps Project Manager. Under the supervision of the Neighborhood Stabilization Director, the Project Manager will be responsible for
managing Mahoning Valley TreeCorps, a large-scale urban tree canopy restoration, management, and workforce
training program in the cities of Youngstown and Warren, Ohio that involves multiple staff, organizational partners and volunteers.

YNDC is seeking candidates for a Grass Cutting and Cleanup Team Member Position. Under the direction of the Neighborhood Stabilization Director, the Grass Cutting and Cleanup Team Member will work with a team to implement property maintenance and neighborhood improvement projects including cutting grass, cleaning up/boarding vacant properties, basic construction/landscaping, and other projects to improve the quality of life in Youngstown’s neighborhoods.

Glenwood Fresh Market Associates assist in the operation of the Glenwood Fresh Market and create a welcoming environment to achieve program service goals including: increasing access to fresh food, inspiring healyhy eating, and contributing to a clean, organized and functional environment.

YNDC is seeking candidates for Owner-Occupied Repair Project Inspector. Under the supervision of the Owner-Occupied Repair Project Coordinator, the Owner-Occupied Repair Project Inspector will screen properties for necessary repairs, write up project specifications, inspect completed repairs, communicate deficiencies, and obtain client signatures on compliance documents.

Under the supervision of the Owner-Occupied Repair Client Coordinator, the Owner-Occupied Repair Outreach Assistant will complete direct outreach to potential clients, municipalities, and contractors associated with the Owner-Occupied Repair program.

Under the supervision of the Owner-Occupied Repair Client Coordinator, the Owner-Occupied Repair Program Assistant will complete programmatic tasks including answering and making phone calls, client database maintenance, document preparation and processing, filing, and scheduling.
