On Thursday, November 16, the Youngstown Neighborhood Development Corporation was awarded a $1,000,000 grant from the Federal Home Loan Bank of Cincinnati’s Affordable Housing Program for home repair in the City of Youngstown.

On Wednesday, November 15, YNDC and MBAC partnered to present a workshop for local contractors at the Youngstown Business Incubator. YNDC's Housing Director walked contractors through YNDC's contractor application process and encouraged contractors to take advantage of Mahoning County Lead and Healthy Home's free RRP and Lead Abatement Contractor trainings.

On November 2, 2023, the AmeriCorps National Civilian Community Corps (NCCC) Oak 4 Team completed six weeks of service in Youngstown. The team worked on neighborhood improvement projects across the city and over the course of their term they assisted with the completion of 73 board ups, clearing and cleaning of 1,077 sidewalk squares, removal of 219 tires, removal 195 yards of trash and debris, and planting 112 trees.

YNDC is seeking candidates for the TreeCorps Project Manager position. Under the supervision of the Neighborhood Stabilization Director, the Project Manager will be responsible for managing Mahoning Valley TreeCorps, a large-scale urban tree canopy restoration, management, and workforce training program in the cities of Youngstown and Warren, Ohio that involves multiple staff, organizational partners, and volunteers.

YNDC is seeking candidates for Grass Cutting and Cleanup Team Member position. Under the supervision of the Neighborhood Stabilization Director, the Grass Cutting and Cleanup Team Member will work with a team in the implementation of property maintenance and neighborhood improvement projects including cutting grass, cleaning up vacant structures and lots, boarding of vacant housing, basic construction, sidewalk repair and replacement and other projects to improve the quality of life in Youngstown’s neighborhoods.
