YNDC and Interfaith Home Maintenance Service Complete Merger 

The Youngstown Neighborhood Development Corporation (YNDC) and Interfaith Home Maintenance Service (Interfaith) have completed a merger of the two organizations. The boards of YNDC and Interfaith approved an agreement and plan of merger in August 2019 and completed the process of merging over the month of September. Effective September 30, 2019, the merger is now complete with YNDC as the surviving corporation. Interfaith’s employees and assets are now part of YNDC and Interfaith’s emergency home repair program continues as part of YNDC.   Read more.

Chemical Bank Employees Volunteer With YNDC For Chemical Cares Day

On Monday, October 14, sixteen Chemical Bank employees volunteered with YNDC during the bank’s annual Chemical Cares Day to begin the revitalization of 741 Winona Drive, a vacant home that will be fully renovated to create a quality affordable housing opportunity.   Read more.

Youngstown Housing Task Force Conducts Code Enforcement Training for Neighborhood Leaders

On Tuesday, October 22, nearly 40 resident leaders, including several landlords, participated in a training on code enforcement organized by the Youngstown Housing Task Force. The training provided an overview of the City of Youngstown's code enforcement inspection and appeals process, the rental registration and license program, and various enforcement tools that can be used to bring problem properties into compliance.   Read more.
