This program was funded through the Centers for Disease Control and is being led by the University of Michigan as part of a 5 year, 3 city study of vacant land reuse (now in its second year). Volunteers Clean Out Three Vacant Homes |

On Saturday, February 18, over 100 volunteers helped clean out three vacant homes at two YNDC community workdays at 2723 Volney, 943 Sherwood, and 1128 Ivanhoe. YNDC will rehabilitate these homes. Volunteers removed 110 Cubic yards of debris from the properties. Read More

The Byrne Criminal Justice Innovation Implementation Plan (South Side Revitalization Project) has been completed by the project team, consisting of YNDC, Youngstown State University, and the Youngstown Police Department. The planning process analyzed crime data and engaged community members in a target area on the South Side of Youngstown in order to identify research-based strategies to reduce crime and improve neighborhood conditions.
